Prista is an Electron-based desktop application designed for use at self-service print terminals at events. It enables visitors to independently print name badges by scanning a QR code or barcode provided via email.
After scanning, the application establishes a connection to Formdesk, retrieves the associated registration data, and automatically transmits it to a connected printer. The entire process is designed for fast, reliable execution and minimizes on-site support requirements.
The user interface is bilingual (German / English) and guides users intuitively through the printing process with clear status and progress messages. If problems occur, comprehensible error messages are displayed, prompting users to contact event staff.
Technically, the application uses timers and state controls to ensure that no additional requests are processed during an ongoing print job. This guarantees stable operation and reliably prevents user errors.
